2010 Summer Webelos Adventureland

Camping…. What every boy joins Cub Scouts for!

A popular saying at Webelos Adventureland is “bug bites are temporary, but memories that you and your son make last forever”.  This is truly one of those Scouting experiences that are remembered by the boys - even in their high school years!

Webelos Adventureland (or also known as Camp Gerber) is a Council program which we participate in along with other Cub Scout Packs in the Gerald R Fod Council and is held in mid June to mid July.  This camp offers your Webelos I or Webelos II Scout opportunities to enjoy games and sporting activities, overnight tent camping, swimming, fishing, nightly fireside programs, shoot BB guns, bows and arrows (supervised and after completion of safety training), make craft items, learn about nature and have loads of fun with their Cub Scout friends!

This is an overnight camp which lasts for 4 days/3 nights.  A rendezvous time and location will be setup so we can car-pool together up to Gerber.  Your Den Leader will communicate this and all other information to you as the camp date nears.

Pre-registration for those interested is mandatory and the Pack pays for half of the $90 camp fee and adult fees.  Sign-up at the March and April Pack Meetings or see your Den Leader.  We do require adult volunteers for this camp - Den Leaders are not enough for proper supervision or “2 Deep Leadership”.  Please consider saving vacation days next summer to lend a hand and enjoy an awesome, outdoor wilderness experience with your Scout!

Here is the 2008 Webelos Adventureland Guide which can answer most all of your questions regarding the camp.
